Giffy’s Barbell Club
The Barbell Club and the sport of Weightlifting runs deep in the history of Gifford Fitness. We couldn’t be more excited to offer this program to the wonderful community that we’ve built, and the Weightlifting community at large.
This is a competitive team of Weightlifters is for adults and teenagers, and it offers opportunities to compete at local, regional, and national meets, and caters to athletes who are coachable, hungry to learn and find value in being a part of a team.
Participation to the GBC requires either a Gifford Fitness monthly group membership plus the GBC monthly club fee, or the discounted GBC exclusive membership (details below).

FREE HELP SESSION
Prospective members schedule a 45-minute Free Help Session with a coach. During this session, you discuss your goals, health and fitness history, what’s worked and what hasn’t, and learn more about our programs.
We’ll go through a short workout (optional) to move around and see what we’re working with. This is the opportunity to personalize and tailor our program for you.
BEginners MOVEMENT PREP
The Beginners Movement Prep is an introductory program that consists of four 60-minute private training sessions alongside a 1-month Unlimited membership.
Through this program, participants will be brought through a curriculum of how to efficiently and effectively handle a barbell and perform exercises regularly seen in the GBC program. Athletes may attend GBC Training sessions during the program as well.
Experienced GBC On - Ramp
This option for On-Ramp is designed for athletes who have experience with training and possibly even competing in the sport of Weightlifting and are looking to join Giffy’s Barbell Club.
The GBC On-Ramp is a single 60-minute private session where athletes will be assessed on their technique and development in all areas of Weightlifting. Positions, Mobility, Strength and speed. Athletes will go through a typical GBC workout with Snatch and Clean and Jerk and be coached through the entire process.
Our On-Ramp is designed to teach and build positions and exercises that support success in Weightlifting.
GROUP CLASSES and Training
Once you graduate from your on-ramp program, you’re ready to jump into training and group classes!
You’ll combine a GBC Membership with a Group Training Membership (8x, 12x, or Unlimited)
Your membership will give you access to all of our group classes on a monthly basis.
